Re: Cowboy Bebop - Keanu Reeves

I'm looking forward to this one.

Eventually, I'd like to see Berserk made...with the care and attention that Lord of the Rings received from Jackson and company.

Re: Cowboy Bebop - Keanu Reeves

Watch them cast Megan Fox as Faye... which would be about as collossal a mistake as possible. A decent physical match, but Fox has those dead, lifeless, aloof eyes and Faye is equal parts vivacious, sly, calculating, goofy, and of course sexy. But anyone who does Faye has got to sell the personality or it won't work.

Keanu as Spike isn't too horrible, nor is (as someone suggested) Vin Diesel as Jet. I'm not the biggest fan of either, but in these roles they are playing to type.

The "Akira" movie is apparently dead in the water, we'll see if the same happens to "Cowboy Bebop"

Re: Cowboy Bebop - Keanu Reeves

Id honestly love this one to be dead in the water. Reeves is shit and will bring nothing to the charecter. I don't have a substitute but i just know he would suck it up as Spike. Rather they just leave this one alone for now. Weve seen how long it took to make serious comic book movies, how long is it going to take for them to take anime seriously

That would be awesome. I'd love to see a live action version of the eclipse massacre.

I hope this movie doesn't get made. The series is too good for this to be a potential mess. Of course, it could potentially bring in new fans. Hmm...

Reeves would be better as Ein.

Megan Fox as Faye
Ellen Page as Ed
Jason Statham as Spike
Samuel L. Jackson as Jet Black [I know that sounds cliched, but who else IS there these days? Tom Sizemore is in jail and Lance Henriksen is too old--he's 70 this year!]

Then I'd go see it. Granted, it would be completely different from the anime, but that's what I'm hoping! I don't want them to adapt the anime. It was perfect as it was. If you're gonna make a movie from it, take it in a different direction, with a new vision. And leave Keanu Reeves out of it.

I find her to be one of the most overrated actresses working today myself. She has the acting range of Michael Cera. That's not a compliment.

Ellen Page as Ed is kinda funny. The one good thing this soon to be shitfest has done is reminded me to go back and watch the series all the way through again. God the music is so awesome in the series. I wish the OST was easier to get my hands on

OSTs. There is more than one. There was way too much awesome music to fill up one disc. The version of Ava Maria from the show stops me in my tracks every time I hear it.
