Lord Love a Duck (1966)

Anyone else have love for this sharp satire of 60s teen culture? Definitely ahead of its time.

I love this movie! The deliriously incestual sweater-buying sequence has to be seen to be believed. Lola Albright should have gotten an Academy Award nomination. Wonderfully bizarre entertainment.

I can't say it any better than NoirFan. I only wish that there were scores of other movies like this one, instead of none

Also notable for featuring one of Harvey Korman's best movie roles.

Plus, one of only a couple of screen appearances of the incredible Lynn Carey (do I really need to point her out?):

Her resume includes Mama Lion, being the daughter of "Days of Our Lives" stalwart Macdonald Carey, and co-writing and singing songs for "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls." It's a crime against humanity that she didn't also appear in it.

I believe Lynn Carey was offered a roll in BVD but turned it down. It is a damn shame she wasn't one of the Carrie Nations though.

Never seen "Lord Love a Duck" but have been meaning to. I had it on the DVR forever but it finally dropped off. I'll look for it again on Turner Classic Movies.

Wow, never thought I'd see a thread on this movie, for some reason. This is one of my favorite films... not exactly the 'technically best' made movie, but there are so many reasons to love it. The review posted here on DVDtalk has some great points and information... check it out if you are interested.
