Deadspace: Downfall the prequel animated movie to the hit video game is airing on the SciFi channel in 15 mins (11PM EST)

I saw a preview on my Jack Brooks DVD and I'm interested in seeing it. Thing is, I don't have any plans to play the game. Can I appreciate it on its own, or is it really only for people who will play the game?

I rented the bluray version from Netflix. Crisp clean animation with buckets of blood. What's not to like?

It leaves you hanging because it ends where the video game starts. A friend who works at EA gave me the game but have no time to play.

If you like the game you'll love the movie. But alone it won't work.

this was actually on one of the pay cable channels, TMC maybe?, uncut, last weekend. i didn't even know what it was bc my Directv guide didn't even show it correctly when it was on. only knew when they flashed the title at the end. looked pretty cool from the minutes i caught. prolly be on again...
