Definitely agree with CAREER OPPORTUNITIES for Jennifer Connelly. That film is just a love letter to the incredible beauty of Connelly, with a John Hughes goofball comedy wrapped around it. When I first saw that film, I was instantly smitten with her (I wasn't really aware of her before that).

Toddly, that's a good call on Paulette Goddard. When I first saw MODERN TIMES, I definitely noticed how attractive she was, in a completely contemporary way. It's amazing how her look doesn't seem dated at all (let alone in a film that's over 70 years old!). I especially like that second pic of her putting on the rollerskates.

I think Liv Tyler's might have to be One Night at McCool's.

Dude:

In all seriousness, the best years of Helen Hunt's beauty were pretty much her first years on Mad About You.

Colleen Gray, especially in Nightmare Alley, has a 'modern hotness' about her.

Or Night Moves? Griffith is fine to look at, it's when she opens her mouth that I have to run screaming.

Amen. Her voice is the anti-Viagra.

That sad thing is that I can't stand the way Paulette Goddard is all dolled up in all her other movies and celebrity shots. We got lucky to really see how she was in Modern Times. I wonder how many attractive actresses there were in the past if they weren't so made-up to fit in the fashion trends of those times...This is why I always liked foreign actresses more because they seemed more real and beautiful in their movies (especially french and italian flicks) then the american ones in american films...

Mentioned on page 1. One of the first examples I thought of when I saw this thread.

but the shower scene was completely gratuitous and utterly unnecessary.

I can't believe Helen Hunt is associated with beauty...oh well, everyone's got different tastes!

I've always had a thing for actresses that sported the Louise Brooks bob.

What about some noir examples? I'm thinking particularly of Barbara Stanwyck in Double Indemnity and Lana Turner in The Postman Always Rings Twice.

Certainly as femme fatales, their beauty is a major focus.

Who knew a lesbian scene between Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci could be so unappealing? I'd also like to add Ricci in Buffalo 66 to the list. Simply luminous.
