I think for me it was Godfather III. I was dating an older single mom and for some reason while walking out of the theater we just started making out against the wall in the back of the theater. I often think of that night. Anyway, it wasn't so much a first date as it was a date night where we had the whole night to ourselves.

Before we were together and when I was very interested in her, I asked her out for Something gotto give ... it so happened that I was 8 years older than her and the difference in age gap sort of mirror what went on between us.
The first movie we watched when we were a couple was Mystic River ... we were making out so much that I missed almost 3/4 of the film. Till now, I haven't found the time to sit down and watch Mystic River from the start till the end. Funny thing is that I am someone who hates distraction during a movie

It was School of Rock. Kind of funny story actually, we saw that at the cheap theater, and when we came back out, it turns out I left my lights on, so my car battery was dead. And it was raining. So I was trying to find someone with jumper cables to no avail, so then I had to call my dad to come out and give us a jump. Believe it or not, we're now married with two kids

Our first movie was Can't Hardly Wait, ten years ago. Married her three years later, and still married. With a three and a half year-old we don't get out to see as many movies as when we were single, but now that he is getting older we are taking him to see such movies as Kung-fu Panda and WallE.

Thanks for this thread, guys. It brings back the memories. I can still remember sitting in a darkened movie theater with my arm around 17-year old Mary Jo Rasmussin, trying to get to first base. I can even remember the name of the movie: Madagascar 2.

She was in college so we went to the tiny little theater in town that was 100 years old. It still had the orchestra pit from silent movies.

The first one my wife and I saw theatrically was S1M0NE, but we did watch Things To Do In Denver When You're Dead at her place a few dates before that.
When I was in college, my first and last date with a blonde cheerleader was a midnight showing of Cronenberg's The Fly.

Took my wife to see Turner & Hooch on our first (blind) date. I still don't know why.
Worst first date movie: in college I took a girl to see Beaches, unaware that her mother had died a few months before. She was jittery throughout the movie and after the pivotal death scene began sobbing - I can only call it keening - so loudly that we were asked to leave. Oddly enough, a few weeks later we had our big breakup argument in the middle of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and I was asked to leave. Good times, good times...

That sucks, man. But it happens to the best of us. At least she stuck around after what must have felt like a major insult by you on the first date.
