Just watched the trailer:

Saw the trailer for this when I saw Inception. Uh...wow. I'm totally game for this. Also Jeremy Renner's in it..soooo...awesomeness.

Agreed that this looks great (trailer looks to give away a lot though).

Looks like it'll be pretty damn good. I've always liked Ben Affleck as he seems to be a pretty cool guy, even if his acting was never "great." Always seemed like he could shine a bit more with the right material. I think media over-exposure with him and Jennifer Lopez hurt his career more than anything HE did; can't really fault him for paparazzi nonsense. Was glad to see him make a good "comeback" behind the camera with Gone Baby Gone.

Watching him (potentially) carve out a strong career in directing is something I'm willing to spectate, as he's done good so far. I'm there.

Agreed. Movie looks awesome but the damn trailer gave away too much.

"From the studio that brought you The Departed" is all the recommendation I need.

That was terrible. Actually, even "From the director of 'Gone Baby Gone'" was a bit sketchy, considering that it was a bomb that very few people have heard of.

Actually it says "From The Acclaimed Director of Gone Baby Gone"

Better that than "From the actor from the international blockbusters Daredevil and Pearl Harbor"

Why not "From the ACADEMY AWARD WINNING creator of GOOD WILL HUNTING"?

then people will be upset that Matt Damon is not in the film.

Looks decent. Nothing that screams "Awesome!", but I'll check it out.

I've heard good things about Prince Of Thieves, but absolutely nothing about the trailer made me want to see this.

As you guys already noted the trailer had some of the dumbest blurbs I've ever seen. I wouldn't be surprised if the next trailer says, "From The Country that Released Citizen Kane and Star Wars".

As for the rest of the trailer, it seemed to give away way too much plot. I'm no longer sure I even want to see it now.

Um...this is one of the dumbest lines for a trailer, ever. The studio? Really? Studios all make tons of movies, good and bad.

I mean, come on, the same studios brought us...

Gigli and Black Hawk Down
Marmaduke and LA Confidential
Daddy Day Camp and Glory
Dumb and Dumberer and the Lord of the Rings

So, I guess I'm not running out to see the next movie any "studio" puts on, just because their name is attached.

The blurbs are trying to create a new genre - a well-written Boston action movie genre.

It is the same when any new martial arts movie comes out in the states "from the studio that brought you Crouching Tiger, Hero, etc...."
