I have seen trailers of this movie for at least a month or two now. IMDB lists it as completed. What the hell is the holdup?

Well a few other sites list 03/14/08, so is this a case of IMDB just being wrong or knowing something the others don't know?

Hmmm so I guess IMDB does know best. Now the real question is - why?

Hey. This is the movie with a couple Sage Francis songs. Hearing Sage Francis songs in a movie is more than enough to sell me a ticket.

Other than that, it looks like a pretty regular cop flick. The trailer wasn't really standout.

I'm pretty sure...because of the writer's strike...this movie got delayed by about a year. It was actually originally supposed to have come out in March or April (I've been seeing trailers for it for a while...I recall a preview for it was attachted to Rendition in October) but the studio said something about not being able to get the advertisement needed. That and you factor in all the New Line Cinema shakeups...

It has been delayed to an unknown time in early 2009 at this moment.

There was another New Line Cinema film, Inkheart, which was also supposed to have come out by now with Brendan Frasier that was also delayed until early 2009 for apparently the same reasons.

I think this looks good. Probably WB is trying to shift through the rumble that was New Line. I bet late summer/early fall.

Variety reviewLook forward to watching these two intense actors go head to head, despite the apparently cliched nature of the film.

Sadly, I think this will end up being another We Own the Night.

I feel like this was supposed to come out forever ago... and yes, it does scream We Own The Night.

The Variety article states that New Line sat on this one for so long, they ran out of time to release it. You'll notice the poster says 'Spring 2008'.

Looks like October 24th is the official release of this now.

And I'll be at my local multiplex front and center that day!

I haven't heard a lot of talk about this movie. I think it looks great.

Am I going to be the only person going to see this on the first night ???

I saw it last Wednesday night, I thought it was pretty good.

Wow--not many posts.
I thought the acting was top-notch, but the movie really seemed to drag. TOO LONG.
For such great actors, I guess I was expecting a more compelling film.
