By that logic then Iron Man should also get a nom!

Made a lot of money: check
Critically acclaimed: check (93% to TDK's 94% on RT)
Audiences loved it: check

I enjoyed it (TDK), but (IMO) I don't think it's deserving of a BP nom.

And, yes, it's way too early for a poll like this since many potential contenders have yet to be released.

It's probably easier to pick the Razzie nominees...
Disaster Movie
The Hottie and the Nottie
Witless Protection
Meet the Spartans

The Dark Knight could get nominated. Popcorn boxoffice monsters get nominated sometimes: Jaws, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghost, The Fugitive, The Sixth Sense.

And sometimes win, like Titanic, Gladiator, or ROTK.

I'd be happy to see Dark Knight get a nomination and win.

I always thought of her as being a junior Julia Roberts, specializing in lightweight date fluff, but in the hands of a talented director like Jonathan Demme, she's apparently capable of good things.

Which one has an over-the-top, in-your-face political message?

I vote for that one.

A few advantages over Julia Roberts that differentiate her:

1. She's actually attractive.
2. She's done nude scenes.
3. She's not bad of an actor. The Devil Wears Prada was one of my huge off-the-radar surprises of recent years.
