LaFontaine will be missed, but I actually prefer Hal Douglas' voice and "In a world..." trailers.

He knew how to adjust the tone of his voice given the voice-over material he was provided -- whether it was action, drama, comedy, or movies for children. He had an amazing gift and his work will be missed.

Man, I loved that Geico commercial he did. That was hysterical.

Movie trailers won't be the same again.

for the longest time i wanted to know who did the voice overs on trailers and then saw the geico cmmerical and it finally clicked.

he was great, too bad he died pretty young. RIP.

Redd Pepper sounds almost like Don Lafontaine. (He did the voice over for Armageddon and Independence Day trailers.) His voice is really deep.
