First TV spot you remember seeing?

What is the first TV spot you remember seeing?

For me, A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge.

Honestly, this is the first one I remember seeing.

(It's after the theatrical trailer...)

I could swear I could very, very, very vaguely remember an ad for Eddie Murphy Raw when I was an infant back in December 1987. It wasn't until I was going through an old tape that I saw the same commercial that the fragmented memories came back.

This, even to me, is bizarre that I remember this.

I remember seeing an ad on TV for a new movie called "Gone With The Wind". I was too young to know who Clark Gable was but my mom thought he looked handsome.

A TV spot for Cocktail and Who Framed Roger Rabbit.. in the same ad. I may have it askew but I can still hear the guy who did the voiceover work for Touchstone/Buena Vista/Disney back then advertising both movies.

Batman Returns. I just remember seeing the Batmobile and when it split, I was sold for BR. Add in that The Penguin and Catwoman were in it made it all the better..in retrospect it's not an amazing film but entertaining for sure.

Same. I have a distinct memory from childhood of seeing Freddy leaping from a hole in the ground or something. Must have been from the party scene at the end. Left an indelible mark in my mind all these years.

Friday the 13th

The final freeze shot of Claudette screaming followed by the white fade out made quite the impression.

It couldn't have been the first trailer I ever saw (I was 11) but the first one that left a mark was The Shining. That trailer gave me more nightmares than I can count.
