Films seen multiple times at the theater?
I usually see about 10 films a year at the theater. More often than not I wait for the DVD. I have a pretty decent HT set-up so that's my preferred experience.
Last night I saw TDK at my local cineplex for a second time. I'm sure you guys have viewed some of your favorites more than a few times at the 'picture show'.
So what movies have you watched at least TWICE on the big screen?
I didn't bother doing a search to see if this subject has been broached ...as that would be futile.
Mine, off the top of my head...
The Exorcist
2001: A Space Odyssey
CE3K
Fight Club
Aguirre the Wrath of God
Star Wars ANH
Saving Private Ryan
To Live and Die in LA
The Dark Knight
Cruising
JFK
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1973)
Brazil
Cloverfield
El Topo
Annie Hall
Sorcerer

Only one in recent memory: Chicago, which I went to see three times.
Back when I was a teenager, there were a couple of local dollar theaters, and I used to go all the time, watching the same movies over and over.

I didn't search too hard since I remembered starting a similar thread before.
My lame answer from that thread still stands: Night at the Museum.

Star Wars: Episode I, Spider-Man and I think Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back each I saw twice on opening day. I think I saw EpI and Spider-Man each 2 more times after that, I can't remember exactly. My memory's not as good as it used to be

I am 22 years old, and for almost the last 10 years, I find that there's always a movie or two that I do that with.
Films include:
The Out-of-Towners (1999) (I still like that movie, but I think the original is way better. Regardless, I actually saw it five times at a theater. I loved Steve Martin a lot more then)
Return to Me (2000) (Saw it five times as well; still love that movie to this day)
Rat Race (2001) (The only comedy I saw that summer that made me laugh long, loud and hard. I did see it in the theater six times, I believe)
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) (One of the most viceral experiences I've had at the movie theater, and I experienced it there about five times during its theatrical run)
Little Miss Sunshine (2006) (Yet another amazing time at the movies. I experienced it I think three or four times).
And now more recent fare:
The Simpsons Movie (2007) (I enjoy this film greatly, and I've seen it now about 20 times; the first two though were in a theater)
Once (2007) (I love this film. I saw it three times in the theater last year)
Across the Universe (2007) (The second best musical released last year, which I saw twice in the theater)
And tonight, I actually add Pineapple Express to the list. Saw it for the first time at a sneak preview about a week and a half ago, and just saw it again tonight at the midnight showing. It's the funniest laugh-out-loud comedy I've seen all summer, and I wouldn't mind revisiting it for a third time sometime soon.

The first seven Bond films. They weren't aired on television until 10 years after the first one and were constantly being re-issued as double features, "Two Bonds are better than one", "James Bond is Back to Back", etc. With no home video I went to see these as often as possible. I peaked with the original release of Diamonds Are Forever. It played for about three months and I went six times, each time sitting through it twice. Just before they first appeared on tv in Sept. of '72 there was a Dr. No/From Russia With Love/Goldfinger triple feature floating around most of the summer. Sat through it many times that summer. The last time was the sunday before my first day of high school.
Have continued to see each one in the theater. Remember going to Moonraker twice and falling asleep twice.

I very rarely see films multiple times in the theater, but I've already done it twice this year so far: Iron Man & Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. (And I'd like to see The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk again; we'll see.)
Films in recent years: Thank You For Smoking, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, High Fidelity, Big Fish
At least three times in the theater:
Pulp Fiction
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (hey, it was a very boring summer)

Very few for me really. The Star Wars trilogy was one. Terminator 2 i saw a couple of times and also Minority Report for some reason. I will end up seeing the Dark Knight again i am sure. A lot of movies these days i don't feel justify a second theatrical viewing.

The movie I've seen the most times in the theater is The Wrath of Khan.
I saw it 3 times in it's original release, and about 15 times in various re-releases over the next 4 years (1982-1986).

Well I don't remember very well. I know I saw the Orginal Starwars trilogy a couple of times each and the Karate Kid a whole bunch of times, but most recently I have seen Stepbrothers twice.

Think I saw all the early John Hughes movies more than once. Breakfast Club for sure I saw in the theater at least 4 times. Nothing better to do? Let's go see Breakfast Club!! And the Talking Heads concert film Stop Making Sense. It played FOREVER at an art-house theater here in Chicago and we must have gone once a month to see it. Good times.
Oh, and of course the original Star Wars trilogy.
