Not likely. Unless the reviews are ridiculously positive. I'm all set with paying for a movie that looks like video game cut-scenes from a Ps2.

Meh. Maybe. I've seen every other Star Wars flick in theaters, but this is different. We'll see.

Had this been made and released earlier than the theatrical release of ROTS, I would've been all over it. But we're a few years late for this and (From what I've seen) I'm just not fond of this animation style.

Even if the reviews are good, I'll likely wait for the DVD.

I'll take my son who is nuts about Star Wars. If it wasn't for him I'd probably never see it.

Nope, I don't care that much about Star Wars to see this. And the trailer made this seem awfully boring.

I voted no way. Because there is no way I'd see this in theaters. As in no way.

I'm taking my 4-year old, who I'm sure will love it.

However, I think it looks ten times better than the prequels. I mean, those things were basically cartoons anyway. And not being directed by Lucas is a HUGE plus.

I've never seen any of the Star Wars films, so I'd say it's highly unlikely I'll start with this one.

Agreed.

My 10-, 8-, and 4-year-olds want to see it.

I'll prolly take them, but not the first week.

Are these supposed to be just re-doings of the Tartakovsky features? If so, what's the point?

LOVE Star Wars.

HATE going to the theater. Or I should say I hate people's behavior in the theaters these days.

HATE the really crappy character drawings & the cheap video game like "animation". Final Fantasy looked WAY BETTER than this.

I'll wait for the DVD.

So does this cartoon finally explain what the FORCE is and how the DARKSIDE came to be?

I will wait for the DVD myself. I very very seldom ever go the theaters... maybe once a year and sometimes not even that often.

I thought Yoda explained what the Force is as well as could be explained in ESB.

If you want to know the origins of the dark side, you willl have to read some EU books. Unless Lucas ever does a Knights of the Old Republic style movie himself, then it will never be explained in the movies.

I'm not going to feed the Lucas cash machine anymore (should have stopped after RotJ). I'll sit this one out.

From what I've read of the plot, the movie is not just a retread of the Tartakovsky animated series of shorts. I'm guessing it must take place between the two Tartakovsky series, as will presumably the upcoming TV show this new movie is an "intro" to.

In the style and nostalgia of that upcoming but delayed to Spring '09 Ghostbusters game, if they're going to make an animated Star Wars movie, why not take advantage of the freedom of that medium to make a movie with the original trilogy's cast members providing the voices? Hamill's an expert in that field, Fisher's available, Ford could breathe easy, no stunt work, etc. Heck, they could do that Shadows of the Empire thing Lucas loved back in 1996, or a whole new story, but in the ANH-ROTJ time frame.

It just looks like lazy animation like Jimmy Neutron.

Lucas still thinks we want to see stuff relating to the prequel trilogy for some reason. I agree something within the OT would be far more interesting now. Clearly he wants nothing to do with post-Jedi stories, but there's plenty of material to be covered within the OT.

While I agree that this feature is a few years too late...much like the new X-Files film...I'm still interested in seeing it in the "thee-it-tah".

I also think the animation style is nice .
