Most any movie, actually (although usually not on the first viewing).

Jon Stewart from "Half Baked"? That's this guy.

Other kids told me that 'Absence Of Malice' on PCP is incredibly heavy.

2001: A Space Odyssey

I would never recommend anyone watch this movie under the influence, unless you want to suffer permanent brain damage like I did.

The Rocky Horror Picture and tequila is one of the best combinations I've ever encountered. Same with Across The Universe and pot. So. Many. Bright. Colours.

Side note, watching Three's Company stoned gives the show, and Mr. Furley, a WHOLE new meaning.

Paul Verhoeven films are a blast while being liqured up

notably

Showgirls and Starship Troopers

saw Solaris (the original) while stoned, which wasn't a good thing - at all.

'Tales from the Crypt Presents Demon Night' while being pretty sloshed - didn't remember much, since I had to go to the bathroom every ten minutes.

I watched movies while drunk or getting drunk for about 20 years. After years of this and the old tolerance building up, I would have to drink more and more for the same effect! Bad news!! After that length of time you realise it's not the movie you're enjoying but the high from the booze. You then reach a point where (you believe) you can't even watch a movie without the booze!!

Then, guess what?

You quit drinking and then suddenly re-explore all those movies you first watched plastered to the gunnel's!

Believe me, it's a whole new experience.

i've watched a ton of movies drunk/stoned but one that always sticks out is RIKI-OH: THE STORY OF RICKY while being really high on pot. that was well worth it. normally i try to watch movies for the first time completely sober.

A couple of beers makes cheesy exploitation films masterpieces.

Almost never. Even if I'm having one drink, I usually can't concentrate and my mind wanders and I never remember the movie. I may watch a movie "drunk" if it's something I've seen a number of times, but never for the first time.

So very true. Try watching these in a bar with a bunch of strangers drinking AND appreciating a film that isn't all that great but is a masterpiece when drunk.

I don't drink as much as I use to (when I was younger) and it has been years since I "toked" but there are a few movies I'd have to be stoned to sit through again.

The first time I watched that movie, I was completely sober and it utterly blew my mind. My immediate reaction was "God I need to watch this again while stoned."

If I ever drop acid, I plan to watch it (or maybe the last half) during the come-up.

I watched Alien in a really big theater -- the kind you can't find anymore -- after having ingested one brownie too many. As I have a tendency to get slightly paranoid under the influence, and having overdone it on this occasion, this was not the best movie choice. I really couldn't handle it and by about the middle of the movie I had to go to the lobby for about 10 minutes to convince myself this was just a movie and I was still on planet Earth. I still remember the funny looks I got from the employees who were wondering why the hell I was just sitting in the lobby staring straight ahead with a scared look on my face.

I also watched 2001 under the influence -- at a Cinerama theater. I was in the first row of the balcony with nothing between me and the giant screen except empty space. Abso-frickin-lutely the most mind blowing theatrical experience of my life!

I remember watching Freddie Got Fingered high as hell a couple f years ago and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Grandma's Boy is pretty funny high too.

And people call it the most boring movie ever made.

I saw Dumb and Dumber in the theater on LSD and laughed until I cried. I certainly enjoy knocking back a few belts of whiskey while watching noir films - helps get me in the mood.

I consider weed brownies the best as they kick in slower and last for 6-8 hours. Watching The Exorcist and Event Horizon are 2 experiences that made me scared beyond comprehension.

Man I had to research straight edge culture for an class i took on subcultures. SXE kids the ones I talked to and read about are fucked up. They are so SXE that if they see kids smoking and drinking they want to beat the shit out of them. Its pretty fierce. All that repression pent up with nowhere to go.
