Re: Mutant Chronicles - Thomas Jane

A friend just sent me this trailer. http://www.movie-list.com/trailers.p...tantchronicles

I think it actually looks and sound really interesting. It may end up being bad, but I'm at least interested enough to watch (probably home release). I do have a feeling of Sky Captain mixed with 13th Warrior.

I downloaded a torrent of this. It is on home video overseas. It is kind of weak and low budget. I was bored pretty quickly.

Hey all, just FYI:

This movie is available to rent as a "pre-release" kinda deal on the Xbox live video marketplace. I haven't checked it out yet but am tempted.

Just thought I'd share.

Looks like fun. It also looks like it could have benefited from a budget more suited to their intent but it looks like fun nonetheless. I'll rent it.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it won't be worth the money VoD charges for their pre-release movies. I'll just wait for the middle of the month when HDNet plays it.

FYI - This movie will be premiering on HDNet Movies this Wednesday night. I think they're showing it three times in a row so you won't have to miss LOST.

Re: Mutant Chronicles - Thomas Jane

Agreed. Not a very good movie at all. Bad dialogue, lousy action, terrible effects, horrible story. The movie feels like live action cut scenes within a video game (ex: Command & Conquer). Overall it was pretty boring and nothing special.

Re: Mutant Chronicles - Thomas Jane

Checked this out last night, It was very entertaining....
It had a decent cast also, I liked it....
I agree it's very low budget & has some lower quality SFX....

Ha. This film's thread didn't even make it to the 2nd page before it had it's SciFi debut. Sounds like a winner

Re: Mutant Chronicles - Thomas Jane

netflixed it
I saw it had Perlman, Malcovich, and Jane and I like them all so I figured why not
I'll write this as I watch

I kept waiting for "war, war never changes" during the opening narration

so, the ship thing comes, causes major war that apparently knocks humanity back to the middle ages, they rebuild and we end up with WW1 all over again in the 23rd century? is that about right for the opening few minutes?

hmm, so now a few more minutes into it we find out they have space travel. interesting mix of tech.

over now
not a horrible movie but not one I'll be buying
