Movies that you think are unfairly/overly criticized this decade

What are some movies you think are too often overly criticized this decade? For me, Terminator 3 and the Planet of the Apes remake.

Offhand, I'd say Ang Lee's HULK. But there are better examples, and I don't have time for tonterias.

Be Kind Rewind is the first one that popped into my head, since it's a pretty recent release. Can't believe the hate that one got in some circles.

OH! Another one: Pixar's Cars. I thought it was a wonderfully funny and heartfelt movie that had the unmitigated temerity to be NOT quite as good as "The Incredibles" or "Finding Nemo".

Domino. Sure, the film's style is so godawfully out of its mind, but that's the freakin' movie. When arms are cut off in the first 5 minutes and used as collateral, two guys from Beverly Hills 90210 play themselves, and a plot device specifically references Point Break of all movies, you know this isn't a Terrence Malick film but special nonetheless. but I think the execution fits the film exactly and that it's a pretty awesome movie to boot. Also love the supporting cast (Rourke, Walken, Coleman, Lindo), and Mo'Nique actually shined in the film especially during the Jerry Springer scene. Even if he does cannibalize from True Romance's climax at the end it's a lot of fun.

I could also make an argument that Man on Fire is awesome, but it's more accepted than Domino. And though they're not this decade, I'll gladly give you good reason that The Last Boy Scout is a twisted, mean-spirited blast and that the director's cut of Revenge makes the film an intriguing supplementary experience to No Country for Old Men.

Unfairly criticized:
Gigli. Despite Lopez's awful performance I think its a really enjoyable funny film with strange performances by Walken and Pacino. I would love to see the original final act of the film in which things got violent.
Southland Tales- It s very flawed but there is also so much to enjoy.

Overly Criticized:
Chicago- This movie was shit
Michael Clayton- Boring and frustrating

i know at least a dozen people who's main comment about this movie is 'it sucks, the ending doesn't make sense'

half the people i talk to love it, half hate it and/or say it doesn't make sense

i've heard TONS of criticism of this movie and to me it's unfair and overly criticized... hence me posting it

to be clear, it was my favorite film of the year - and also one of the most heavily slammed as 'sucking'

Pixar's CARS definitely
Spider-Man 3 (yes, worse than the first 2, but still 75% of a fine movie I thought)

I'll second AI, loved that movie

Spielberg's Munich. Personally think it's one of his best films but for some reason, quite a lot of people didn't like the ambiguity of the characters, the neutrality of the film and the gray message it provokes in the end.

Though a handful of critics praised it, I don't think it was commercially successful maybe due to it being a part of history that is largely forgotten.

Jonathan Rosenbaum has an interesting negative take on the film here. It has become fashionable to slam Donnie Darko and the film's obsessive fans, but I always thought it was a highly original piece of filmmaking, though certainly muddled plotwise.

That's because if you walk in expecting a harrowing but triumphant story like Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan, you'll be caught off-guard by how dark and unflinching it is.
