Not a fan of the movies, but I do enjoy the posters.

How many of these can they spew out?

Man, these films suck. Insult to the horror genre and sad that these keep raking in the money.

RyoHazuki 06-27-08 03:04 PM

Really cool poster. Hate the movies though.

DJariya 06-27-08 03:18 PM

I assume that's supposed to be
Spoiler:
Costas Mandylor.
since he was revealed to be the new Jigsaw apprentice. Very creative poster.

I believe the producers are contracted to do 6 films with Lionsgate.

 I love them and they're the only horror series i've continued to watch.

Cool poster. Kind of morbid.

I like them. However, the only one I really hated was Part I since the acting was beyond horrible even with credible actors like Cary Elwes and Danny Glover. The movies have gotten better though and the writing has been really creative. I just love how each film ties into each other.

It's the Friday the 13th/Halloween/Nightmare on Elm Street of the 2000's. It's to this generation what those were to that generation, where a new installment came out every year and it got more and more tired the more that they made. If anything, I like the series because of that, because we don't have many horror series like that these days. I didn't care for Part 4 all that much, but I'm sure I'll see part 5. And part 6.

Rammsteinfan 06-27-08 03:53 PM

I also have enjoyed each film and it does add more to the overall story with each entry. Love the poster and cant wait to see the film! the only poster that was kinda iffy was the one for saw IV w/ the lady tied up with the pig mask. It wasnt bad but was far from being as great as this poster for V.

EdTheRipper 06-27-08 03:55 PM

Excellent poster.

Maxwell Smart 06-27-08 04:20 PM

I like em, they are predictable but entertaining.

Liver&Onions 06-27-08 04:21 PM

That is creepy as hell.

I'm not a huge horror fan really, but I've enjoyed the piss out of the Saw series.

Matthew Chmiel 06-27-08 06:13 PM

If I had to rank the films up to this point ...

1. Saw II
2. Saw III
3. Saw
4. Saw IV

They're usually entertaining flicks (except for the last outing), but a little bit upsetting this is what the American public has chosen to be their horror franchise of choice.

The posters are always top notch and the latest one is no different. Even if Saw IV was a near abomination (not surprised considering the writers' last film, Feast, was a pile of horse shit), I'm still down for Saw V.

RichC2 06-27-08 06:21 PM

Mine would be:

1. Saw
2. Saw II
3. Saw III
4. Saw IV

Huge drop in quality with each added chapter. FWIW, I thought Feast kicked ass.

Geofferson 06-27-08 06:25 PM

Effective poster -- don't have high hopes for the movie though.

"Saw II" first...really?

i guess they really are milking Tobin Bell to death. credits at imdb also say Shawnee Smith. weird.

1) I dug the Ten Little Indians approach to the film.
2) It was a lot more violent and dark than the first.
3) Donnie Wahlberg.
4) I didn't have to deal with the overacting of everyone involved (especially Cary Elwes).

My order is the same, although I wouldn't say there have been huge quality drops between the sequels. I liked the first movie the best, simply because I enjoyed how most of the movie was contained in the bathroom and I dug the puzzles around them. The rest of the series moved towards just throwing in random crazy traps.

4 was the weakest, but honestly rewatching it knowing how it relates to part 3 helps make sense of it in the big picture.

I don't think it is
Spoiler:
Costas. This person looks to have a bit of a receeding hairline, and he doesn't have that. Not to mention that I think the ending of Saw 4 seems to reveal that Costas himself is playing the game as well as helping out with, so someone is pulling his strings.

overacting is all they did in this one, especially DW! Dina Meyer was the only one i could tolerate.

Michael T Hudson 06-27-08 09:26 PM

I am shocked a certain Kobe fan has not posted yet.

mndtrp 06-27-08 09:32 PM

I've enjoyed each installment so far. From what I can tell, each sequel isn't pissing all over what was done before it. At least, not as bad as most series seem to do.
