I'd probably like it a lot more if he did a straight up impersonation of Don Adams.

Looks good and better than most TV show inspired movies.

Did The Rock officially drop "The Rock" and go with Dwayne Johnson?

Pretty much, yes. He's either referred to as Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson or just Dwayne Johnson now.

This film is going to beat Titanic in final b.o.

Would you believe Ghostbusters II?

Looked funny, but I don't think Carell can pull it off as good as Don Adams.

Trailer looks pretty average, but they probably rushed it out too quickly without enough good footage available.

Loved the show, don't think anyone can make it as good as Don Adams (RIP), but like Carell and will definitely give this a try.

But that teaser is awful.

Haha...love the beads sliding down the strings in the doorway! That bit was taken from the original show, and it still cracks me up. I'm hoping the movie has those type of jokes all the way through it.

Saw this last night in front of Harry Potter and, I have to admit, I laughed almost the whole way through.

Especially throwing the phone. A perfectly executed gag.

New trailer...

"Agent 86", weird.

Anybody know what country this is marketing? I'm assuming it being marketed as just a screwball Bond send-up

The original TV show was called Agente 86 or Superagente 86 when it first aired in some countries (example: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superagente_86), so they are just using the same name. It looks like Brazil from the website at the end.

Oh, Steve Carrell... When will you realize that shouting every line of dialogue is the antithesis of humor?

The thing about Maxwell Smart is that, although he was a bumbler, he was an excellent agent and not an idiot as it seems to be in the trailer.

I agree Agent 86 always got his man at the end of the tv episodes. The trailer just makes him looks incompetent. Of course he probably will win the heart of Agent 99, rescue The Chief and become Control's number one agent by the end of the film. But still...
