It is Blanchett. It was much easier to tell in the theater. When are they going to be putting out a nice HD Quicktime trailer of this?

In English would help, too.

Nope, but thank you, though. I can picture the actress's face...her hair was done up the same way as Blanchett in the trailer at that particular moment...and I know she was crying in whatever film I'm thinking of. I suppose I can wait until I see again whatever film it was.

Either way, Fincher is a damn fine director. I'll be there at opening.

I just hope it's got more talk in it, and not just some really arty flick which is just Music and Visuals.
It actually reminds me a lot of the 1st trailer for Assasination of Jesse James. I wanna see it in HD.

Holy shit, I had no idea Fincher was directing this. I'm shocked that we're getting a Fincher film just one year after the previous.

And, as others have said, Fincher+Pitt+Blanchett=Sold.

And here I thought film was a visual medium.

I just prefer my film to have a solid story to it. I can handle small trailer sized chunks of music and visuals, but I need to see character development and a rich plot to make me sit there for longer than 30 mins.

You can have a solid story, character development and a rich plot without a lot of talking. Watch any of Charlie Chaplin's films. Hell, the first 20 minutes of "There Will Be Blood" is virtually wordless and it's riveting.

Anyway, about "Benjamin Buttons," it's David Fincher directing an F. Scott Fitzgerald story. I think we'll be OK.

I don't think Brad Pitt will take a role where he doesn't speak for the whole movie. I wouldn't be surprised to see a montage similar to the trailer of some age ranges they want to speed through.

Hey what is the haunting music from the trailer? I thought I heard it on NPR this morning behind a story on Basque sheep herders.

Cool thanks! I looked it up on Wikipedia and realized I had heard it in both Days of Heaven and Visions of Light (which of course Days is featured in).

Just finished reading the screenplay.

It's like an amazing fairy tale. It's great, I can't wait to see it.

Trailer is now available in High Def:

Looks.. stunning. Still think a few shots give off a perfume commercial vibe, but it looks very solid.

Ok, I downloaded the HD version of the trailer and have watched it about 6 times tonight.

It's the best movie of the year so far.

I actually hope the film can live up to that trailer. It's probably the magical theme, what is the name of this tune that I know I've heard a many time? The trailer really presents it as an artsy flick. And I do hope it can be magical film. This seems like a film you take time to present. I can only wonder the length of this thing. 2 hours something I'd assume.
