"Indiana Jones Trilogy" ...are you watching prior to TKofCS?

i know only a couple days to go but was wondering how many of you all watched or plan to watch the trilogy before the new one.

i would ideally like to watch it but don't really like or can stay up for movies during the week and then if i see CS on friday if i might not have the desire anymore to watch trilogy after eventhough i would like to re-visit.

I meant to watch all of the DVDs again prior to tonight, but ended up just catching the movies on the Sci-Fi Channel over the past week or so.

(BTW, we need an Indy sub-forum )

Probably not. I watched Raiders a couple weeks ago though.

Nope. I've seen all 3 movies enough times in my life. It's not like I need a refresher before seeing the 4th one.

I watched Raiders like 4 times in the last year, getting hyped, but just rewatched the entire trilogy last week... tomorrow!

I have no plans to watch the first 3 movies before the weekend. I feel that doing so will only make me tired of Indy (if that's possible) by the time I get to the theater. I'd rather go in fresh and enjoy what I think will be a very fun movie. I'll probably watch them afterwards if I feel the need for more Indy.

I already did, but it was about 2 weeks ago. Watched all the bonus materials (both new set and old set) as well...I'm ready to go!

I had just recently watched them all a few weeks ago... that being said... I have caught all of them on TV this week.

To be fair, the Indiana Jones movies are pretty high up on my list of re-watched titles and I throw them in often... even if it's just for background noise.

Can't wait until 12:01a tonight!

I watched Raiders last night and am watching Doom as I write this. Hopefully I can watch TLC before I go to see Skull.

Yep. I always like to revist a series before a new installment hits. I just watched Raiders... today and will watch the other 2 before I see KotCS.

I selected "other" ... I watched all of Raiders and Crusade, but I only got through half of Doom (family stuff, ran out of time).

I will finish Doom later this week - we had to stop right when the movie kicks into high gear. Really looking forward to Skull!

For the first time, watched them in chronological order. I've always wanted to do that. Not sure why. Just cuz. Anyway, my ratings:

Temple of Doom: C
Raiders of the Lost Ark: A+
Last Crusade: B-

I love all three, but Raiders is the gold standard. Perfection, or darn close to it.

I tend to agree with most of the common pros/cons people on this forum have mentioned about the sequels - but I can't imagine Indy without them.

Raiders has always been a favorite film of mine, top 20 at least. Yet somehow, I never saw the sequel. The trailers just looked so silly that I skipped it. I always planned to catch it on TV, but have somehow avoided it for the last 25 (?) years.

But opened my DVD set and saw Raiders last night (still love it), and will watch the other two over the next couple days before going to the theater for the 4th.

Yes. It's very important I have the continuity straight in my mind going in.

I'm trying to. I was going to watch the whole Young Indy series, but Blockbuster Online failed me. I think I got to about chapter 19, but they're taking their sweet time to ship me the remaining three.

So yesterday night I started watching TOD (I realized I'd never watched the trilogy in chronological order and figured it might be worth a try), but I didn't get very far. In fact, I should be watching it now (it's paused & minimized on my computer).
