help me out - name this movie...

ok i've been trying to figure out the name of this movie for about 10 years...here's all i can remember from it:

- made in the 80's
- the guy (high school age) sleeps in a bed that has a drawer under it
- the end of the movie is a showdown at the high school (i think) in which his girlfriend gets shot
- the girlfriend dies
- the guy has machine gun

for the longest time i could've sworn the guy was emilio estevez or christian slater but i've been through their filmographies and can't find the movie.

I dunno, is it Tuff Turf with James Spader? Haven't seen it in ages, so I don't recall if a girlfriend dies.

No, I was just throwing it out there. There are no dead girlfriends or machine guns in New Kids.

Maybe you watched Say Anything and Scarface back-to-back while tired or on drugs? Sorry, I can't help any more than that, which was no help at all.

It sounds like Wisdom , which Emilio Estevez starred in and directed.
