Help me watch more of the movies I own. (Will update daily)

Every day I will post five titles and whatever the majority has picked, I will watch and probably post about. I am going to try to not pick movies disparate in theoretical quality, because I already know that certain movies are "better" than others and that hasn't helped me decide.

If you have the time, you should give me some reasons why you like the movie you picked. Don't, however, give me reasons you don't like the movies you didn't pick, because at some point I'm going to watch those too, and because it's better to say good things about movies than bad things.

Are we to assume you haven't seen any of these five?

If so -- watch Go.

Shouldn't this be in DVDtalk? There is an "Unwatched Movie Pile" thread monthly basically for this purpose.

I have seen that thread but never been in it. I guess I thought it was just one guy. And I wanted to extend this thread on a daily basis.

To others: no, I have not seen any of the movies.

I vote for coming up with a better system of deciding what to watch.

Isn't this akin to threadcrapping? If you don't like the thread then just stay out of it.

Dude, I seriously keep debating whether I want to chime in.

Turns out I do.

Go for "The Blob" - great gore FX for the first half of the movie (they get awful near the end, however... but first 3 are EPIC). It's a pretty average film, but I really love it. It scared the shit out of me when I was a young one. As mentioned above, it does have Kevin Dillon all day and all night, who kind of resembles the 2 week old corpse of Kevin Bacon. Also, I think Frank Darabont wrote it... It's almost like a prequel to Shawshank.

Hmmm. Pretty decisive voting. Perhaps I'll get in both, but I have to learn some stuff for a job interview.

I watched Go. It was fairly good, although I wasn't a huge fan of the Pulp Fiction-style chronology, if only because I thought Ronna's opening segment had a good sense of spiraling into chaos, like dominoes falling. When the movie changed segments, that was lost. It was also probably the only movie I've seen with Timothy Olyphant where I really appreciated his performance. And it's too bad Katie Holmes hasn't really been in much worth mentioning, but we all know whose fault that is

Today:
1. A Fistful of Dollars (1964)
2. Lethal Weapon [Director's Cut] (1987)
3. The Limey (1999)
4. Made (2001)
5. The Manchurian Candidate (1962)

I have seen The Manchurian Candidate, once, long ago, and I don't remember it. The others I have never watched.

Strange. There was a post before saying The Limey. I wonder what happened to it.
