Unused Spider Man 2 script

Michael Chabon's screenplay for Spiderman 2 is now online:

252 pages long!

Should be an interesting read.

reading just the first few pages, it's hardly "unused," but rather was rewritten for a more quickly paced movie.

Jim Cameron's Spider-Man. Now THAT's an unused script!

Not being a comic book reader, I never knew how people felt about his one big contribution that survived the final films - the biological web shooters, but I thought it made sense and was pretty cool. I didn't even know that it wasn't one of his natural abilities in the comics until I read it on wikipedia.

very true, but I think it definitely was the smart move. who really wants to see scenes with Peter making webbing? that stuff in the comics was only useful for when Peter was thinking about his life, or silly tension stuff like "I ran out of webbing/it's broke," which the films have shied away from.

However, in the 2099 Universe, Miguel O'Hara had biological webbing.
