I voted Psycho, it's one of my favorites. However, there's a few on the list I haven't seen...including Vertigo.

I really can't choose - I don't think there is another director in film history with such a high % of masterpieces. I could name five more easily, but I think his all-time best is North by Northwest - it has everything you love about Hitchcock in it.

If I remember right, last time I made a Top 10 of Hitchcock it went, from best on down:

Notorious
Rear Window
Vertigo
Sabotage
Shadow of a Doubt
North by Northwest
Psycho
Strangers on a Train
To Catch a Thief (it's a lot more deep of a film than most people gave it credit for)

So many great Hitchcock films to choose from.
I voted for Psycho, but Shadow of a Doubt is a close second. I think The Birds might be the weakest on that list.

I can't wait for the remake

This is a very tough pick... He has so many great films. But I chose Rebecca (still my favourite). I guess Vertigo and Psycho would follow.

Tough call.

I went with Vertigo, but my top 5 are all pretty close:

Vertigo
Notorious
Psycho
Rear Window
North By Northwest

My personal favorite is Strangers On a Train.

Vertigo is one helluva movie though. Man, that one's creepy to watch.

I have seen them all (minus Rebecca) but Psycho to me is still his best and to me the scariest movie ever made.

Now some will say The Birds is scary and I would agree. Maybe it is because I was born in the 80's, and I am totally desensitized to it, but I do see why people would be terrified of this movie.

Lastly, Hitch was a master at making you scared by thinking about it. Today's director's just gore it up and that will lose impact, since it doesn't require you to think. Take Funny Games for example, almost nothing is shown on screen and I was squirming all over the place. Where as I watch Saw and I just keep watching without thinking. Actually a better example is Saw to Rear Window...think about that and it makes sense.

North By Northwest for me.

I've always thought Psycho was rather simplistic in story (but still a great watch), and I've always thought Vertigo was a bit overrated.
