I'm waiting for yet another "Somebody please make this girl stop acting!" review from one of the DVDTalk critics heh.

The trailer gave off a dark little vibe. I hope the movie lives up to it. And I've liked Ellen Page in everything I've seen her in so far. She seems pretty cool off-camera, too.

How many more years can Page play the 15-16 year old role? She's 21 now, playing 15. 18 when she was 15 in Hard Candy. 20 as 16 in Juno. I know she'll always look young, but it's getting silly.
As for this movie...it looks way too bizarre for me. Smart People looks much better.

As long as she still has the body of a 12 year old boy.

You have to remember, Allison Lohman played a 14 year old in Matchstick Men (

I just loved Ellen Page in Juno and am really looking forward to her role in Smart People, but this whole "emo-dark" movie it just not appealing. I agree with DVD Josh --she doesn't look like a convincing 15 year old anymore. She def. has a young face, but atleast 17 or 18. This kinda just looked too depressing for me.

nah, doesen't look interesting to me. Now if she ever is in a slasher movie or a movie about substance abuse, I'll watch it. I like movies like that instead. Diden't care for Juno, Hard Candy was so-so.

I can't think of other actress examples at the moment.

Now if Ellen Paige really, really wants to give ppl a shock she should do a 180 in her career and do something like Zombie Strippers. lol, I know she probably coulden't pull that off now, but you get the idea.

I like Ellen Page all fine and well... Hard Candy was pretty damn good, Juno was an ok film (and the problems weren't Page, they were screenplay issues IMHO...).
I would certainly like her to do something that breaks the mold... vengeful teenager hanging out in chatrooms, pregnant teenager hanging out in chatrooms, superhuman teenager, walking though walls, updating her blog... hanging out in chatrooms.
I think she's actually super cute when she dresses and appears as a grown up... but every time I see her in full on jail bait glory it makes me deal with many complicated thoughts.
