How good was... "Return To Paradise" (1998)?

The more and more I see this film, the more i love it. When i saw it the first time i remembered being blown away. the performaces by Vince and Joaquin were just Oscar worthy. Vince was always capable and has done some things before and since that attest to his true acting ability, but this one blows them away. he is so good and riveting as Sherriff, you just feel the gambit along with him through his transformation in this movie. and Joaquin is always good, but his portrayal of Lewis through his limited scenes in jail was just great.

i love this movie and think it truly is a forgotten classic of cinema. anyone else feel similar for this movie?

Yes, I feel the same way when I see Midnight Express.

I'd be more inclined to feel that way about Midnight Express.

I love Return to Paradise. Didn't care much for Heche or Jada but the guys were good.

I really enjoyed this movie. Very similar to Midnight Express and equally compelling.

Yeah, I'd put it below Midnight Express but better than Brokedown Palace.
