Psycho would be better if its plot twist wasn't ruined by the title.

There was a story in 1960 when Psycho was in theaters. A teenager came out of the theater after seeing the film five times before, went home, and stabbed his grandmother to death.

I think this person would have voted for "Psycho" as his favorite.

Balderdash. Nobody knew that Norman was the "psycho." Heck, it coulda been the bank manager after he figured out that whats-her-name stole that texan's money. The bank manager goes "psycho" and chases down Janet Leigh ala Alton Chuguh ("No Country For Old Men").

How about Psycho 1998 vs The Thing 1951?

I challenge your balderdash with some poppycock.

I adore Psycho, don't get me wrong. It's in my top 10 or 20 movies of all time. I just think with a different title, the big twist in the storyline would have been insanely amazing.

I'm going to bet that you knew Norman Bates was the psycho long before you watched the movie.

Of course, just like I knew that Orson Welles was the Third Man.

Dumb poll. Should have been Psycho vs. The Thing from Another World.

In any case, The Thing is my favorite film of all-time, so that would obviously be my vote; but that's not to take anything away from Psycho.

Oh, and I voted for "Psycho" because I haven't seen "The Thing" yet. Now if you were having a "Psycho 1960 vs They Live", you'd have a different answer from me.

I can't wait for the "Silence of the Lambs vs. War of the Worlds" debate.

As far as dancing goes, Dirty Dancing blows anything away in The Terminator, though the headphone-bopping and dance club scenes were okay.

I can't make a snap decision, and besides, I'm still tormenting over The Song of Bernadette vs. Hell Comes to Frogtown.

Rabid Grannies vs. Police Academy 6: City Under Siege.
I went with The thing only because it was a film that I grew up with. Psycho was a whole different generation...but I agree, it was a better film.

Psycho had some swammy dialogue: "Mother! Blood-blood!" as Norman discovers what Mother has done to Marion Crane.

The dialogue in The Thing is more realistic, but you're talking many, many years between films, and dialogue came a long way, BABY

Psycho - The Remake.

It is incredible that this guy continues to make new thread about the same shit and doesn't get suspended or banned, while my threads announcing new releases get deleted in the DVDTalk forum.

The Thing killed a lot more people and didn't have mother issues.
