There Will Be Blood SNL Parody

Sorry if this has already been posted. This is one of the better SNL skits I've seen in awhile.

Bill Hader was a genius Plainview, but the Anton Chigurh imitation was really off. Still, Bill Hader as Plainview...classic.

Always good to parody a movie that about 10% of your viewing audience has seen.

At least it's better than New York City centric sketches that no one in the country gets.

But you really need to have seen There Will Be Blood to appreciate that.

Still, it was genius.

He does a REALLY great job, but I also noticed that it's sort of an easy one to do, provided you stick to the lines from the movie.

Is Maya Rudolph still on the show? If so, I wonder if PTA had a hand in this. The impersonation was killer, even if the skit was only so-so.

I think SNL has figured out that even if not many people get a certain skit, it'll end up on youtube and the like, and be seen by people who would get it, namely us, who've seen the movie. There Will Be Blood has been talked about on Best Week Ever, and the milkshake videos/parodies are all over the place.

Anyway, very funny skit.

It was a great impersonation by Bill Hader, but the skit itself was far from genius. All they did was say the same lines that people have been making fun of for a while now.

I thought this was absolutely horrendous. Good idea but didnt even produce a smile or chuckle from me. Bill Hader is worse than Andrew Dice Clay.

Of course. We can't get enough of Donatella Versace.

Good one. I remember that PT Anderson directed an SNL short five or eight years ago.

Give the writers three months off, and we get a good SNL sketch. Hoo ray!

Or maybe I'm just a sucker for violent humor.

I miss Tina Fey. Weekend Update was the best with her around.

Daniel Day Lewis was funnier in the real scene.

That skit makes you yearn for the writer's strike.
