This is exactly why I don't have as much of a problem with this "plot hole" as so many others. He actually did realize who Threepio was, it just took him a few hours.

For me, the absolute biggest plot hole created by the prequels was how Obi-Wan suddenly needs reminded by Yoda in ESB that Luke has a twin sister.

Give us ep 7, 8, and 9 or be done with us... you're like a fucking crack dealer, giving us little dribs and drabs of shit, keeping us on the hook, when we are all really hanging around for the big pay out, the SEQUELS to the original trilogy.

I've wished for years for 7, 8 and 9, but I have to say the Animated Clone Wars shorts were far from lackluster. They're basically the saving grace of the PT, and I think this new series will help in that regards also.

I am very stoked to see this, as it does feel closer in spirit to the original trilogy, than the political intrigue and whatnot of the prequels ever did.

And I do enjoy the prequel movies, but the Clone Wars series is a necessity for viewing the entire saga.

I'm tired of Star Wars.
Yet here you are. I see Star Wars threads on this forum haven't changed a bit.

You got a problem with me being here Terrell? Being tired of Star Wars means I won't spring for $10 to see a "movie" but doesn't mean I can't comment on what I have already seen.

Besides I like pointing how George Lucas raped my childhood and stole my babies.

I'm very underwhelmed by that trailer.

Meh. I'll still see it anyway.

Don't know if I'll see the "movie" in theaters, but I'm definitely looking forward to this series. If it can capture the same fun factor as the animated series, we'll be in for a treat I think. Who'd have thought Lucas would be outdone by the animated spin-offs?

I like the idea of an animated version but to be totally honest the last three movies were all so fake looking and over the top I fear this new film will sadly offer anything new or exciting. I do think the characters look very cool and stylized but action wise I am not impressed yet.

Strange to see the WB logo instead of the Fox one. It just won't feel the same from the start due to the lack of the fox fanfair.

Is it true that one of the storylines is they have to rescue Jabbas kid? I hope this is a bad rumor......

I don't know, this seems tried. The animation looks uninspiring. As much as I love SW, I named my dog Chewy, but I'm a bit tired of it all.

Ill see it, but I really just want Dark Empire or something after Episode 6 made. I'm burned out on prequel stuff.

I've cooled down in my fervor of Star Wars for years now, but new major material always excites. I'll probably catch it in the theatres. I don't have any real expectations for it so, I just want to be entertained.

The trailer looks alright. They did a good job of reproducing the animated Clone Wars style character designs through CG, and I know the plastic look to everything is intended but it comes across a bit like one long video game cutscene. Some of the shots, like the shots of Yoda near the beginning, seem to be aping shots from the prequel trilogy as well. Not sure if I'll catch it in the theater, but I'll probably pick it up on Blu-ray.

Oh, and what's up with Warner distributing this instead of Fox? I thought Fox was the distributor for all things Star Wars.

But it's also heavily implied that Sidious is behind the kidnapping and the Jedi are set up to take the fall - mostly likely for his death.

Meh, the art style looks like crap to me. It would have been nice if the characters didn't look like their Episode 1-3 counterparts too.

I'd be way more excited about this if it was something totally different in the Star Wars universe. Give us Knights of the Old Republic, or something after the original trilogy. I'm just pretty sick of the Episode 1 through Episode 3 time frame...

It would be nice if these video game characters inhabited the same high quality CGI world that their prequel counterparts did.

That CG sure doesn't wow me at all. I'm sure I'll check this out in theaters, and on TV, but I'm on the fence thus far.

Well, it was never meant to be super high quality. This is essentially the first three episodes of the show put together isn't it? I'm sure it'll look fine at home (hopefully on Blu-Ray).

Doesn't really look too good. I am real skeptical of any new Star Wars after the way the Prequels turned out.
