Re: Things You Just Noticed...
I've seen "Jaws" countless times and only this week did I catch that Brody and his family had just moved to Amity from New York. I, for whatever reason, always missed that dialogue discussing it. I always assumed that he had been a long time sheriff because he knew the people and the area so well.
I also noticed for the first time the odd cut in the Hooper autopsy scene on Chrissy where Hooper says "This is what happens" and then it cuts abruptly to him talking about the bite radius. Now that will bug me on future viewings. |

Spielberg explains "this is what happens" |

So I want to know.. in BttF2, does Biff die from a heart attack/stroke? (The scene after he steals the DeLorean to give the sports almanac to his younger self, he returns to the future and breaks his cane, then stumbles to the other curb and drops.)

watched SAVING PRIVATE RYAN yesterday and realized Nathan Fillion was the mistaken James F. Ryan.
It's kinda like Jim Carrey's cameo as the first murder victim in The Dead Pool. Or Jim Caviezel as the pilot that drops the missiles on Nicholas Cage in The Rock. |

Now, here's the sticking point: If Old Biff changed his past, how did he travel forward into the same present? When Marty changed his past in BttF, when he traveled forward again, he was in the altered present. |

I just realized Vin Diesel was with them in Saving Private Ryan

Re: Things You Just Noticed...
I just realized that Tom Hanks is in Saving Private Ryan. I could have sworn it was Douglas Fairbanks. And I just realized it was a WWII movie, I could have sworn it was a Civil War movie. I also just noticed the pictures were moving. I could have sworn the first time I saw it it was just one single still image for 142 minutes. And I just realized that Michael Madsen carries a rifle in the film, I thought it was a Subway sandwich.

It's not a heart attack. He's supposed to be vanishing, like Marty started to in the first BttF, since he changed his past.

Another weird issue is Marty's sister. She was overweight at the begining of the first movie. By the end, much like her mom, she was slender after Marty changed the past. Now in part two you never see her but at the end of part three, she's back to being overweight. Why?

Re: Things You Just Noticed...
[QUOTE=whoopdido;10576759]Are you maybe confusing the movie with the novel? In the novel Mr and Mrs Brody have always lived on Amity, although I can't remember if Martin was a longtime sheriff.
QUOTE] That's possible since I read the novel a few times when the original movie was released. That was back when I had to read books to relive a movie. Thanks to technology and short release windows, I don't have to read those pesky words anymore. |

Did you name Micheal Madsen on purpose as part of your joke or do you really think Michael Madsen was in SPR instead of his doppelganger Tom Sizemore?

Recently realized that Channing Tatum plays Pretty Boy Floyd in an early scene during Public Enemies where he is being chased by Melvin Purvis (Bale).

Re: Things You Just Noticed...
I watched South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut over ten times before I realized that the title is a double-entendre. And not a very subtle one. |

I thought the movie explained this quite well. You need to pay closer attention. |

However, after Marty defeated Mad Dog, the gang member decided to go straight and used his share of the bank loot to go into business. One hundred years later, it was still around and right on the way to work for Marty's sister.

Re: Things You Just Noticed...
I just noticed while watching Christmas Vacation that Johnny Galecki of Rosanne and The Big Bang Theory plays Rusty.
