indeed it is. I just read the novel last week. Decent easy read but i cant see Pearce and Huston having large parts.
Hillcoat is awesome though so I'd watch anything he made.
Maybe we'll get Nick Cave songs in this one as well.

It was a great book. But i'm afraid it wont translate well to the big screen. Critics will eat it up but the general audience will most likely find it boring.

The movie will probably have a different style than the book. I can't imagine watching a movie with such boring dialogue (like "The New World" and "The Matrix Reloaded"). I really liked the plot behind the book, but it was definitely not my style of writing.
