I wouldn't mind seeing the cast from T3 return though.

I wouldn't mind seeing Biehn recast, considering the guy ain't working too much lately. I'm glad they're finally going to fully focus on the war, but please don't give it to McG. I don't want to see the guy who gave us vapid turds like Charlies Angels plow one of the best franchises into the ground. These three films could be amazingly awesome with the right budget and cast/crew behind them.

TERMINATOR: Salvation (aka T4)
McG is directing.

Now HERE's the real kicker.
Apparently John Connor has been cast... and it's none other than Bruce Wayne himself - Christian Bale.

McG? I hope he don't ruin the movie!
IMDB has shown Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins and didn't mention Christan Bale, but did showed that McG is the director. I guess it's still too early to make it an official.

I refuse to believe that Christian Bale would attach himself to a McG project ... Are you sure the 4th installment is not called Career Terminator?

While I'm glad we are FINALLY going to get a movie set in the future during the war, I don't think McG is the man for the job.
JUST SAY NO TO KUNG-FU TERMINATORS!

Never really understood the hate for McG, as I thought the first Charlie's Angels movies was fun and entertaining. The second one not so much, but not bad enough for me to hate him.
Regardless... I'm a huge Bale fan pre-Batman days and i'm totally in if it's true he's playing John Conner. He'd be just enough bad ass without being over the top.

I just feel that a movie such as this needs to be in the hands of James Cameron or someone who is equally capable.
If Brian Singer were to direct this I'd be first in line.

I've never had the "pleasure" of seeing any of McG's masterpieces, so I have no opinion on that.
Bale as Connor =
Future War =
Also hoping they can find a spot for Biehn in this one, even if he isn't Reese.

From IMDB:
Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (2009) (in production) (rumored)
Untitled Matt Cirulnick/McG Project (2008) (announced) (attached)
"Chuck" (1 episode, 2007)
- Pilot (2007) TV Episode
We Are Marshall (2006)
The Offspring Complete Music Video Collection (2005) (V) (videos "Pretty Fly [For a White Guy]" and "Why Don't You Get a Job?")
Dan Finnerty & the Dan Band: I Am Woman (2005) (TV)
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)
"Fastlane" (1 episode, 2002)
- Pilot (2002) TV Episode
Cypress Hill: Still Smokin' (2001) (V) (videos "Illusions" and "Throw Your Hands In The Air")
... aka Cypress Hill: Still Smokin' - The Ultimate Video Collection (USA: reissue title)
Charlie's Angels (2000)
... aka 3 Engel für Charlie (Germany)
Sublime: Sublime (1997) (V) (video "Santeria")
Korn: Who Then Now? (1997) (V)
Not much great movies. Charle's Angels is OK, but not a great.

While I'd certainly love it if Bale was cast, I can't believe he actually would sign on for it (and possible sequels). He's already got a franchise, and frankly the material seems beneath him. But maybe it offers him the chance to do something insane to this body that he hasn't already done?
So that makes four actors portraying the John Connor character... Anakin/Darth Vader's got five right?

I don't have a hate for McG. I thought the Angels films were OK but I really liked We Are Marshall and like most of his TV producing work (Chuck, The OC, Supernatural). If Bale really is doing this, I'm sure it's going to be top notch.

It's not news, it's just an Internet rumor, and one that I seriously doubt is true. We'll find out for sure after the holidays when Bale's reps are back in the office.

That rumor is batshit insane (no pun intended). However, if its true...considered me having gone from 0% interested t0 100% interested.

Christian Bale as John Connor? Talk about crazy rumors.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is apparently supposed to make a 30 second appearance in T4, sucks that he couldn’t be in the whole flick.
T3 definitely wasn’t as good as T1 & T2, but I enjoyed it and it wasn’t a bomb like a lot of third installments of a movie franchise can be. I think T4: Salvation will be the nail on the coffin for the series. No Schwarzenegger will be one of the reasons, unless they do get Bale.
