GUILLERMO DEL TORO: "Champions"
del Toro To Helm "Champions"
So much for "Mountains of Madness". Guillermo del Toro ("Pan's Labyrinth," "Hellboy") will write, direct and produce United Artists sci-fi action film "Champions" reports Variety.
Based on the late 60's British TV series, the story follows the adventures of a team of secret government agents who are rescued from a plane crash by an advanced civilization and given superhuman abilities.
The original starred Stuart Damon, Alexandra Bastedo and William Gaunt - mixing adventure, humor and glamour into its plotlines.

Guillermo, I love you, man. I love your work. I love your style. But, please, for the love of Yog Soggoth make At The Mountains Of Madness!!!!!! This could be the definitive film of Lovecraftian mythology and I can think of no one better at this time to tackle such a project as yourself. Make the 438,924 projects you're involved in later, but focus ALL of your creative energies on this one and make it happen.
