Looks good.

GoldenJCJ 11-08-07 11:18 PM

I'm a big fan of Tom Cruise but he just seems miscast in this movie. Maybe it'll turn out to be good but I don't have very high hopes for this, even with Singer directing.

It looks like they've essembled a pretty darn good cast yet it appears that no one even attempted a German accent. Oh well, I guess half of them at least had British accents (the universal "any accent" in American films)

B.A. 11-09-07 01:41 AM

It doesn't look too bad, aside from the casting of Cruise.

thegame370 11-09-07 05:58 AM

Looks great

Kal-El 11-09-07 12:06 PM

I'm there.

Artman 11-09-07 12:33 PM

I guess I expected Cruise to blend into the character a bit more, but it's pretty much just Cruise with an eyepatch. Still looks good though.

Ronnie Dobbs 11-09-07 12:58 PM

I don't know its still kind of hard to imagine the SS in a decent light.

Spot on.

Zee 11-11-07 05:02 PM

Cruise looks ridiculous, but thumbs up to Singer for casting Jamie Parker in this...I didn't know he was in it till I saw the trailer and the kid is TALENTED. I hope this is a huge break for him, he deserves to be a superstar.

Seantn 12-16-07 03:13 PM

The movie has been pushed back to October 3rd, 2008. Seems like a good idea, this doesn't feel like a very fitting July 4th weekend movie.

JumpCutz 12-16-07 03:34 PM

 @ Cruise.

Doctor Gonzo 12-16-07 04:20 PM

I'd see this if Cruise was not in it.

For me it's Cruise = no sale.

Looks like he's trying to pull a Tom Plissken with that eye patch.

DarkEye 12-16-07 05:46 PM

Looks good, but I think that Cruise's days as a leading man are numbered, but this looks like a return to form for Singer so I might see this one.

Brack 12-16-07 05:56 PM

I continue to love people's hate of Tom Cruise. Hilarious.

It's not that unexpected is it? He can't act and he's a nutjob.

Brack 12-16-07 06:37 PM

He may be a nutjob, but can't act? I don't agree there.

Kudama 12-16-07 06:40 PM

I'm neutral on Cruise. He does his job reflecting light. What gets me is...Where is Irwin Rommel in the credits? Is it gonna be a surprise: "and Kevin Spacey as Irwin Rommel" in the end credits?

Oh. And Terence Stamp = sale for me, regardless.

Mercury&Solace 12-16-07 06:49 PM

Uggghh this actually looks pretty bad. How are you going to market this movie to make it a hit? Unless a Nazi movie has Steven Spielberg's name on it, forget it. I see another stinker right up there with Lions For Lambs.
I will call it now as 0-2 under his new UA studios. Cruise is on his downward spiral for bank ability for movies.

I suppose, if you actually consider Lions for Lambs a TOM CRUISE movie, and most people know it wasn't.

What are you talking about? Tom Cruise in a mindless cult is very much a stretch for his character.

mikelowry 12-17-07 05:32 AM

The movie reminds me of the Lions for Lambs fiasco. I think this a wrong career move for Cruise.

DVD Josh 12-17-07 10:51 AM

I didn't know there were so many english and americans in the german army during WWII

Some people have nothing else going for him. In legal terms, the first response to your post would be "asked and answered."

Brack 12-17-07 12:56 PM

mmkay.
