100 Best Rock & Roll Movies

Usually Blender lists suck, well ok this one isn't that great either, but they DID put Spinal Tap at #1 so kudos for that. South Park in the top 10, though? not so much: http://www.blender.com/guide/articl...954&src=dx6:MKd

As predictable and vapid as any list I would expect from Blender. I didn't even need to read it to know Spinal Tap was #1.

I was surprised they put all the Beatles movies so low.
THIS IS ELVIS , TOP GUN, TOPUC: RESURRECTION were some that should have been on there.

Yes, Stop Making Sense is the 68th best rock movie ever made.

Also, Hard Day's Night is the 35th best ever...

The Decline of Western Civilization, Part II only ranks #34? And School of Rock and South Park (?) is above it?

They may be cheesy but I love Streets of Fire and Xanadu and would've liked to have seen them in there somewhere.

Stop Making Sense is way way way to low. Top 10 woulda been a near insult to the amazingness of that film.

Points for including Plaster Caster (2001) at #60.

But Jim Jarmusch's Mystery Train says more about rock 'n roll than half those movies.

A lot of decent selections on this list, but too much of the good stuff is ranked too low, some rather mediocre stuff is ranked too high, and there are some inexplicable omissions (such as The Song Remains The Same, Alice's Restaurant and Help!).

Jesus Christ Superstar only #86?

No Rock Star, but The Limey makes it?

If the movie had hit songs it belongs on the list.
