Saw the trailer for this before Hitman last night. Remember seeing some youtube style video with this premise a while ago. AM I imagining things? Anyway, I thought the trailer looked god awful. But I also thought the movie I went to see was god awful.

I don't think there is much else coming out in February, so I will probably end up seeing this. It looks like an entertaining "popcorn" movie.

The book was excellent, but I remember reading they changed a lot of stuff for the film. So a cautious "maybe" from me.

Doug Liman, what the hell has happened to you? You went from making a terrific indie comedy GO, to the badass Bourne Identity, to popcorn crap Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and now to this?
You forgot Swingers.

Anyway, the concept seems cool, and I'm a Liman fan, so I'll check it out.

For a moment when I read the title of the thread, I got my actors' names mixed up & was thinking that Samuel L. would have the cheerleader from Heroes chained to a radiator.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Mr. and Mrs. Smith was awful so this will need good reviews to get me to go see it.

Everybody hits road bumps in their career.

I personally think this movie looks to be damn entertaining, though the newer trailer is pretty bad -- and at this point, I think I've seen the entire movie.

You forgot to note Liman's 3 TV shows (Mr & Mrs Smith, Heist, The O.C.), FWIW, I didn't hate Mr and Mrs Smith as much as other people seem to. It squandered a ton of potential, but was still mildly entertaining, the plot was a mess, though.

That seems like a good length for a gimmick movie like this.

The movie just looks totally DOA from the trailer and commercials.

Yeah, why wasn't her name in the thread title? Would have gotten more attention.

I think Hayden deserves another chance. But I'm not sure about this movie, may wait for reviews to come in first.

I can't wait 'til this piece of shit hits theaters and hopefully quickly exits. All goddamn football season FOX has been promoting the shit out of it. I'm over it!

I've really dug the trailers for this. Seems like a unique Super Hero type flick. 85 minutes is kinda short, but it might be perfect to get this type of thing going.

thanks to the lengthy trailers showing every single aspect of the movie, i won't be seeing it.

There are only one or two things the trailers didn't show me and those things can be easily found out about after I read other peoples reviews.

It really does seem like the next movie i see will be one of the big summer hits

worst.movie.ever.

i bet everyone in here $500 than there won't be any worse than this in 2008.it's not even entertaining.

i usually have a soft spot for 20 something actors who are trying to make it in the entertainment business....but Hayden Christensen? oh dear...i hope he dies in front of me.this guys sucks so bad i don't even know how he gets all these big projects...and why in the hell ppl think he is handsome? i think he is ugly.

the only reason you have to see this film is if you are Jamie Bell stalker like me....he shines like always..even in this piece of shit.

My favorite bad review off RT (so far):

Given its uninvolving story, uninteresting characters and the presence of half-man/half-tree Hayden Christensen, the movie is wholly dependent on special effects, which I rate only so-so.

Yeah, you're the one reviewer I saw on "Rotten" that I knew of besides Owen Gleiberman (who's okay) and Christy Lemire (who I can't stand). Your review seems "fair," if that makes any sense.

What bothers me is reading articles/reviews that say the movie ends leaving open a potential sequel. I can't believe no one considers that a spoiler anymore.

Went and saw it today. Meh. Now I know why it was released in February. Nothing terribly special about it. Hayden Christensen puts out a performance that's about as wooden as his Star Wars one. The only real redeeming factor of this movie is Jamie Bell. He's pretty good in this.
