Questions for a School Project About Pre-DVD Home Video Formats

Hey, I have to do a project with Venn diagrams in my math class, and I need to poll a certain number of people on three yes-no questions on a similar subject. So, I decided to base it around home video formats circa the 1980's, and I figured a message board might be a good place to ask. Here's the questions:

1. Did you (or your parents if born before the date listed) own a VCR before 1987?
2. Did you own a Betamax player?
3. Did you own an optical disc format that was NOT CAV/CLV laserdisc, DVD, or HD-DVD/Blu-ray?

I need as many queries as possible, please. Specification isn't necessarily needed, but thanks a lot.

I bought a gigantic VHS player circa 1983. The "remote control" had a cord

2. Did you own a Betamax player?
No.

3. Did you own an optical disc format that was NOT CAV/CLV laserdisc, DVD, or HD-DVD/Blu-ray?
No.

Barely- after years of begging, I finally got my parents to buy a VCR in 1985- at least it was one of the first Hi-Fi models that could record TV in stereo. I won a second VCR in 1987, which I still have and still works.

2. Did you own a Betamax player?
Not when they were new, but I got a used one at a flea market in 1994. I use it mostly for playing old TV recordings that other people recorded, and I've got a couple movies on Beta that are hard to find on any format.

3. Did you own an optical disc format that was NOT CAV/CLV laserdisc, DVD, or HD-DVD/Blu-ray?
Don't know of any other optical disc format, unless you count CD-Video (which has 5 minutes of analog video with digital audio, along with a 20-minute audio-only section that can play on any CD player), or MPEG-1 Video CD. I have a CED videodisc player, which uses a stylus. It's the 8-track tape of video formats.

1. Yes. In fact, it is still in use up at my parents lakehouse. Wood grained, top loading, silver huge beast with the corded remote, which really only had two functions via a slide switch, "play and pause".
2. no

2. Did you own a Betamax player?
Yes. Still have it in my basement actually.

3. Did you own an optical disc format that was NOT CAV/CLV laserdisc, DVD, or HD-DVD/Blu-ray?

Not sure when I got my first VCR, but I wasn't a particularly early adopter, so my best guess is:
