Uh no. It's pretty ridiculous and silly of a movie.

Never saw the original but the remake trailer got me interested. I'm in.

I didn't even know this was a remake. I started reading the first post and thought, "2007? What the fuck?"

The remake looks terrible... and the trailer gives away WAY too much. It's depressing. Why not re-release and promote the true Death at a Funeral and give the brilliant film a wide release? It's one of the best comedies of the past decade.

Or just release it on blu. I think Chris Rock is hilarious with his stand up but I really lost a lot of respect for him for wanting to do this.

Saw the original tonight. Though I'm usually a fan of British humor, this movie just didn't do it for me. The jokes I did laugh at were language-neutral.

Edit: The woman who played the widow was xxx-tra hot.

The Original British film Sucked ASS. I saw it a couple years ago. It's no shock that the remake sucks too. They remade a turd.

I liked the original and I enjoyed the remake. There are some things that the original did better and some things about the remake that were funnier.

I never saw the remake, but I just came here after watching Robert Altman's " A Wedding" for the first time. Chris Rock's Death At a Funeral might as well be a remake of a remake because the Frank Oz film is hit you over the head with a sledgehammer influenced by "A Wedding". I like the Oz film, but he and whoever the writer is, knicked the whole thing from Altman.
