4K restoration of 'Dr. Strangelove' at new Landmark's West LA theatre
Saw this over on Landmark's website, I'm envious...
Dr. Strangelove - 4K Digital Restoration
if anyone goes to see this, can someone ask the management some technical specs I'm curious about?
what DLP system is being used for this engagement? It's 4K and not standard 2K projection... right? LA Weekly's Paul Malcolm denotes it as such... but some in the industry say there aren't 4K units on the market (conflicting news).

I'm seeing this today, in just a few hours. Sony has made a 4K DLP unit, but it's only available on loan at the moment, which is what I'm presuming The Landmark is doing for this. If I recall correctly, Revenge of the Sith was shown at the Cinerama Dome in 4K as well.
