Checked out the trailer, I think Tarantino is onto something. These movies can only work as grandiose spectacles of violence. Sorry, but there's no "emotion" there in a revenge flick if there was, well it wouldn't be a revenge flick.

I saw the trailer for this on the 300 DVD & I’m actually looking forward to checking this movie out on DVD. Even through Jodie Foster has been in a few flops, she’s also been in some really good films & she’s cute.

I'm hoping Jordan explores the idea of revenge and the toll, etc. Cuz with this and "Death Sentence" playing back to back in front of "Invasion" most people probably thought they both were cheesy revenge movies.
Granted "Brave One" looks more thoughtful than the pure pulp action of "DS" but I hoping this will be good. It should looks it, even though that "Grindhouse" guy looks out of place as Jodie's b/f.

Neither of these facts prevent me from enjoying Taxi Driver or Silence of the Lambs.

Because Taxi Driver and The Silence of the Lambs are top notch greatness and this movie has yet to prove itself. The way I interpreted the quote was that it was insinuating a comparison.

The funny thing about this, I have argued for years that I thought she was gay - I've got all my friends thinking I'm nuts.
But than again, I also though Hugh Jackman was gay also - COMEON! Who takes their mom to the Acadamy Awards!! lol
Then I noticed he was married.
