I don't think it's the fact that that's what he looks like bald that's making it look like he wouldn't work as The Hitman.
I think it's the fact that he looks like that bald and is having a shitload of fun at a Con that's giving that impression. I'm sure he can do other facial expressions when he wants to.

I hope he does a good job. I like him as an actor.

I like Olyphant, but it seems like miscasting to me. What's next, the kid from North as Iggy Pop?

With all today's CG capabilities, they should just take Patrick Stewart's head and CG it onto Jason Statham's body.

Hitman needs to be played by someone with a little bit more heft than Olyphant. He and Statham are too skinny. Stewart is just a silly suggestion.

I would personally suggest Scott Caan.

Or Nicolas Cage as Al Capone?

I'll reserve judgement until I see something more official. I remember the early shots of Thom Jane as the Punisher and everyone was complaining about how awful he looked. The movie was horrid, but I think most people feel he looked the part in the end. Same thing with Alfred Molina in Spider-man 2. I think Olyphant will do well.

Why does he have a barcode on his head? I never played these games.

The game (and obviously the movie) is based in the future/an alternate reality, where they actually stock hitmen at stores around the world. That's just his checkout barcode.

I'll believe that when I see it, which won't happen. Complete load of marketing bullsh*t.

I really like Olyphant, and always enjoy seeing him in a movie. Having never played the games, I hope he does a good job.

The "obvious" choice is usually the laziest one.

I never played the game or know much about it but based on the video caps from the game he looks like he will fit the part fine to me. The guy just looks ordinary and not all buffed up like most characters in video games or comic books.

Uh what game did you play because it sure was not Hitman: Codename 47.

The story is that Agent 47 is a clone. There are other many other clones too. They are genetically created to be the world's perfect assassins or something. The barcode on the back of the head is basically just an ID code that lets him log into stuff at the agency he works for. Instead of having ID cards or retinal scanners or whatever, every clone has a code imprinted on the back of their head.

They made a terrible decision choosing him. He doesn't look the part at all especially now. Hopefully it still turns out to be decent.

Good trailer, but I still don't know about Olymphant in that role...

Dangit! I didn't see him dressed as a deliveryman strangling somebody (My favorite move)

Haven't played all the games in the series yet, but I recognized some scenery from "Silent Assassin".

I never thought Olymphant would look right in the role and the trailer seemed to only cement that fact for me. It's a shame to because I was addicted to the last game and wanted to see this turn out well.

There are actually scenes from all four games. It looks like they are going to cram the entire Hitman storyline into one movie.

Guess it would have seemed a bit too much like The Transporter 3, but it really is a better fit...
