MOUSEHUNT (1997) vs OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN (1983)
Both films involve a super-smart rodent outsmarting its human counterparts. "Mousehunt" is labelled a comedy, while "Of Unknown Origin" is lightly labelled a horror.
I've seen the former, but not the latter, but I have intentions of watching "Of Unknown Origin" for two reasons: one, it comes highly recommended on all websites; two, it stars Peter Weller, a favorite actor.
Thoughts on the two films?

i've only seen parts of Mousehunt on cable - largely for the Walken-y goodness - Of Unknown Origin i can highly recommend. i remember seeing it as a kid in the early 80s and enjoyed the hell out of it at the time - recently found the no-frills dvd in a bargain bin and picked it up - the movie still holds up today - not so much a straight on horror movie (although there are a couple of Gotcha moments), but more of a dark comedy dealing with Weller's growing obsession - plus a very quick peak at Shannon Tweed in her 1983 prime - i'd compare it to something along the lines of Slither or Tremors.

Of Unknown Origin is a blast, and it still delivers. A far cry from Mousehunt, if you want to know the truth.
Here's my Of Unknown Origin review, if you're bored....
