Agreed. Started out well, ending was too abrupt and anti-climatic.

Didn't like the underground stuff either.

I enjoyed the hell out of it.

Kate played the part of a bitchy annoying wife at the beginning very well, reminded me of how great it is to not be married anymore.

I liked it. It reminded me of a good "bad" tales from the crypt episode.

Other then the police plot-hole that was mentioned before, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

This movie had so much potential. Started off so great, but went south fast about 30 minutes into it. The person darting behind them in the room not once but twice just for scare effects. Really stupid and horror movie 101. Then that underground crap.

I just watched this the other day and really enjoyed it. It's a tight thriller that covers little new ground, but is still effective. I thought Luke played his character very smart. He wasn't a total dumbass, which was a nice surprise. I like the ambiguity at play here; you get ideas of who these people are and why they're doing what they do, but nothing is ever explicitly explained. In an age when people are usually hit over the head with obvious explanations it was refreshing to not have to deal with that. Aside from the previously mentioned tossing of Kate at the end my only real complaint was the cliched ending. Had they taken the "we've got balls" route I would have been much happier with how it ended. Still, I liked it enough to buy it used sometime.

They already made "Vacancy 2" , which is coming to DVD early next year.
