I did think Christmas Vacation was pretty mediocre after like 10 years of people telling me it was a holiday classic. Not bad, but mediocre. The original Vacation is light years better and frankly, Van Wilder is a giant steaming pile of crap. Loaded Weapon was okay.

AMERICAN PIE - Beta House
Yes the connection to the original movie is becoming more and more distant. There is your token Stifler but as a teen sex comedy, this one is pretty good. Plenty of gratituous nudity, plenty of hotties and a fun storyline.

If I was him I'd be doing it too. It's not like it's hard work.

Wow. that shit is expensive at Amazon. I really liked band camp and naked mile, so I might pick this up at some point. But not for 22.99. Where do they get off charging 29.99 list for this?

I would consider getting Band Camp, Naked Mile and Beta House only if the price dropped well below $10 per disc.

In Band Camp, Levy was a camp counselor. He made a brief reference to Jim and his wife and new baby.
I haven't seen the others yet.

I think it's funny they make these direct-to-video sequels without any of the original cast (save Eugene Levy, whose appearance in these doesn't even make sense from a story perspective) yet half the cast isn't doing anything notable right now anyway and are appearing in other direct-to-dvd movies. Is Thomas Ian Nicholas really that busy?
