I think the black costume looks horrible; it shouldn't have 'webbing' on it it should be smooth black. But I think the SM1 and SM2 suck so I guess I should have expected this.

Is this first time Spider-man's suit has has that solid gray patch (looks like an extension of the webbing) on the inside of his elbow? or is this the just the first time I've noticed?

That's not gray. That's part of the blue portion of his suit.

Threadcrap aside, I know what you mean...I wish they had stuck to the design of the black costume from the comics, with the cool big white spider icon. But considering the cost of making the costume to begin with for the movie, it's a small thing to over look as I am sure this movie will kick serious ass to make up for it.

Now, in that picture, I don't see the webbing on the black costume...could it be that the black costume takes a different look when it becomes Venom? It looks smooth black to me. I am trying to see if the spider icon looks different on the chest, and I think it does.

As far as I can tell, Venom's costume will be the same as the one in the comics.

From the concept art and such, it'll have bumped "webbing" like Spidey's.

Except it is crooked and not symmetrical.

I also think they should have used the black costume from the comics...it is,in my opinion, one of the greatest looking costumes in comics. The movie one looks like the costume department got lazy and spray painted the old one black and silver..
