Draven, do you also think we want to bang a 54 year old Sharon Stone?

He didn't say that. Obviously, you prefer 60 year old looking women judging from that pic Draven posted of Jenna. See? I can make up stupid shit, too.

No offense, dude. But you sound like a coward and a rat.
Why didn't Harry Potter just go camping in the woods and wait for it to all blow over?

Re: Total Recall

I saw Sharon Stone walking around in NYC about a year ago and she looked amazing. Wasn't wearing that much makeup either.

Re: Total Recall

17 minutes was cut out of it? Why? Seems like Wiseman has a home there w/ Sony. Thought they'd let him do whatever w/ it...guess not.

So for those of you that saw it and didn't dig it...could 17 mins help it out or are the flaws you saw just inherent to the film itself?

You guys watch too much porn and fantasize too much. You'll only get that level of 'fantasy woman' when you become rich, or grow a large penis.

Or, for you Solid Snake PAC, rape.

For someone like me who liked the movie, I thought the running time/pacing was fine. Not sure what 17 more minutes will add.

When Sharon was in his early to mid 30's (circa Basic Instinct) She was indeed a vibrant and sexy woman. Even now at 54 she's still a very attractive woman. Honestly, IMO it's hard to compare her with Kate and Jessica. It's 2 different eras. IMO a 38 year old Kate Beckinsale is just as hot and maybe even a little sexier than a 32 year old Stone from 1990.

Spoiler:
Hawke's visage or image or whatever you want to call is what Hauser originally looked like before Farrell's. I'd be curious to see how that scene turned out. Hawke mentioned that it was five pages worth of script that he worked on.

That's why.

It's not rape if she comes right? I saw that argument in a movie..and I'll stand by it in real life too damn it.

Possibly, but it's hard to say. The Rated R version of Die Hard 4 is marginally better than the PG-13 theatrical, because of the added blood and curse words. I dug the director's cut of the first Underworld film even though a lot of folks say that version way too long.

I think if that Ethan Hawke scene was restored, in context, it could be a slight improvement. Not to mention the geography and name of the actual colonies that were changed at the last minute due to Asian companies having invested in the film. I think one of the territories was called "New Asia" or something before they dubbed or deleted the reference.

Cinema Blend did an article on all of this that I'm quoting, so I'll see if I can get the link to the article.

Re: Total Recall

Here you go - too large to copy and paste, so I'll link it. The movie was mediocre, but all of this is very interesting.

What are you, fucking 14-years-old?? Blood and cuss words do not make a good film a great film. That movie was a failure because of the wretched story, script, and overall direction involved in it's inherent making.

That's all I cared about in a Die Hard movie. Not one of those films ever went back to the greatness that was the original, so don't get all butt hurt about it.

Re: Total Recall

Just can back from this. I liked the trailers and the cast but the reviews were harsh enough to curb my enthusiasm. So expectations weren't high going in but I enjoyed it. All action, moved quickly and told a pretty decent story. Kate Beckinsale is stunning.

Agreed. LFODH was a decent action flick but a sub-par Die Hard flick. Putting the edited stuff out made it a little better...if for no other reason than not being super distracting to see it poorly removed.
