I'm not bitching, I'm just stating an observation.
You see, I actually do like all sorts of movies; foreign, drama, action, comedy, horror, but I was just stating because I loved Last King of Scotland, and was hoping more people would go see it.
I love Ghost Rider as a character, many fond memories (check my review on myspace or the GR thread), but the film was a duck, and I call it like I see it, JackSkeleton.

Hell yeah, Mondo Kane, Werewolf by Night is pretty sweet title. I once owned the first appearance in Marvel Spotlight #2 and his first issue of his series.
I am fascinated by Marvels 70s horror titles.
Sory don't mean to get off track of the OP thread..

Went to see it with the family today, really liked it. who gives a crap if it's not Citizen Kane -- it was fun and thats all I expect for my money. nuff said.
Of course, I liked The Punisher, Daredevil and Fantastic Four as well, so go ahead and rip on my "bad taste" in movies. Bring on the sequel!

Terabithia clearing 20 mil is such a great thing to see. Hopefully, the audience will grow in the coming weeks.
Looks like the Tyler Perry streak was broken. Finally! A traditional 60% drop next week, and then see ya!

Lionsgate and Perry signed a seven-picture deal when his last film took off, so we have six more films to "suffer" through. And with the way Perry has been keeping his budgets around $6-7 million, they'll still be raking in the cash.

I'm well aware of his deal, but a #5 opening shows that his popularity isn't bulletproof, and that pleases me.

Tyler Perry in drag = gold.
Tyler Perry not in drag = moderate success.

I am really glad taht Ghost Rider has done well. I have never been a big fan of the comic, or Nicholas Cage and i have not seen the film yet. But i do have two reasons hat i wanted this film to do well. Firstly there are a number of comic book characters that i still want to see hit the big screen and any comic book movies that fail may hinder any future films being greenlit. The second reason is quite simply because of the reviewers at Aintitcool. I used to dig this site when it first started, and i admit that i still check it. However, the reviewers on that site and everyone involved with it have become self important idiots. I don't know who made them think that their opinions are held with such reverance and importance by the viewing public, but i wish they would get off their high horses and actually enjoy a movie for what it is suppossed to be. Unless a films director/actor/studio has given them freebies or asked them to the set or anything that consitutes a freebie they will generally knock the movie down in a review. Unless of course it has anything to do with Tarantino or Rodriguez....then they have their tongues firmly stuck on their directorial behinds. I hope they make a Ghost Rider 2 and its totally shit but rakes in a tonne of money just to piss off Harry "The 1 tonne ginner gimp" Knowles.

I believe most of the Internet crowd thinks pretty little of them these days.

I was going more for the "TYLER'S NUMBER ONE AGAIN! EAT IT, WHITEY!" declarations that followed the last two openings. I'm tickled we won't be subjected to that again.
Whether you like his films or not, I haven't seen Tyler Perry say or do anything other than be a nice guy who makes films for a certain audience, and that audience seems to enjoy them. Good for them. It seems like such a waste of time to let it piss you off.

I never wrote that was quote from Perry.
The toxic hype comes from his fans, on message boards and the like across the land. So yes, there is incentive for me to see him fail. I don't expect you to agree with my opinion.

wow Ghost Rider took in 44 million dollars at the box office. I am very intrested in seeing this movie but will wait till the DVD release, due to the fact im to busy to head to the theater. the only thing is i can't stand Eva Mandas, but the story sounds intresting.
Music & Lyrics off to a half assed start, i don't see the intrest in this movie personally.
Dreamgirls has been out for awhile i know but i can't beleive its in last place, this movie (i think, i don't know if its true) never did that great at the box office in the first place, to much hype and alot of people were disapointed.
I can't believe Norbit is in the #3 spot, that type of comedy isn't my cup of coffee.
