It is not that I don't find him funny, just that is seems he is always playing the same dimwitted character. This just kinda makes me feel that I have already seen the movie each time I watch him in something new.
I whole-heartedly agree that he is a great #2 actor supporting somebody else.

I don't find him funny at all. Last time I laughed when he was in Old School (the CPR scene). Rest of his movies, I don't find him funny - he plays pretty much same.

I think he is hilarious! I think the only movies that I didn't like that he did were Bewitched and Kicking & Screaming. I thought he was great on SNL: did a great George W Bush and the Celebrity Jeopardy skits mentioned above were great, but Old School, Anchorman, Talladega Nights and Zoolander are some of my favorite comedies. I loved his uncredited roles in Wedding Crashers & Starsky & Hutch too.

Not funny. He has the worst comedic timing ever. I've only liked a couple movies he's appeared in, and only becuase he wasn't in them enough to ruin them. I pretty much stopped watching SNL when he became the "star". Nothing he did on that show was funny. I get his humor, and what he is trying to do. It just doesn't make any sense to me that people think it's funny. Exact same way I feel about the "Jackass" phenomenon.

I find him funny in general, although I have to admit that some of his movies don't look even remotely funny, like the Talladega Nights for example. Of course my immense hatred of Nascar could have something to do with that but the jokes and stuff in the trailer just seemed plain stupid.

I'd go with 50/50. He does some absolute brilliant stuff, and then on the other end of the spectrum there's a lot that falls flat. I agree with those who said that he's at his best in a secondary role.

My wife has dragged me to a couple of his films. He is painful to watch. Old School is the only one I even had an interest in seeing, and he was by far the weakest link.

He was funny in "Old School", which is the best movie of it's type since "Animal House".
He was funny on SNL's "Celebrity Jeopardy".
Every other thing I've seen him in made/makes me wanna wretch. Hell, his scenes nearly RUINED "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back".

I agree with those who thought Bewitched and Kicking and Screaming were dudes, although the coffee shop stuff in Kicking and Screaming made it worth sitting through.
I absolutely love the whole "Frat Pack" thing and how they all are in eachothers movies. It's good fun. Throw in Jack Black, and I am in comedy heaven. I am 24 though, so maybe that's why.
His trips to Conan on St. Patty's Day are guaranteed funny. Well, at least the first time.

I think he's funny. I think he has mass appeal because he's always playing the guy who wants to do the right thing and be in the "in crowd" but for some reason, it never seems to work out. I think that resonates with alot of people who probably feel the same way. Instead of whoever they compared him to, I would kind of compare him to Chevy Chase.

Broken Lizard do a better job with the friends-in-movies thing, although I don't think they should be considered our generation of the Rat-Pack.

Will Ferrell could stand in a corner and do absolutely nothing and he would still crack me up. There's just something about him, his presence, the way he carries himself, that to me is just hilarious.
So yes, I think he's funny.
