I wonder how much people's list would change if the question was worded as such:
"I would be willing to pay full theater ticket prices to see anything ----- ---- is in." My pick: Clint Howard. |
Christian Bale
Steve Buscemi John Candy Russell Crowe Matt Damon Rodney Dangerfield Robert De Niro Chris Farley Paul Giamatti Tom Hanks Ethan Hawke Phillip Seymour Hoffman Scarlett Johansson Laura Linney Bill Murray Edward Norton Clive Owen Al Pacino Paul Reubens Adam Sandler Will Smith David Spade Uma Thurman Mark Wahlberg Denzel Washington Rachel Weisz Bruce Willis I would like to include Jim Carrey in that list, but seeing as how the thread says "ANYTHING" I don't think I can, as I refuse to see "The Grinch" and "Horton Hears A Who." Anything related to Dr. Seuss that did not have his direct involvement and/or approval is unacceptable to me. |
I would (and have) pay full ticket price to see a movie with:
Christian Bale Ed Norton Tom Hanks Christopher Walken Bruce Campbell Bill Murray Bruce Willis Samuel L. Jackson (I see a lot of movies as a result) Matt Damon Russell Crowe Robert De Niro Tony Leung George Clooney Will Smith Uma Thurman |
My list sadly consists of actors who are gone:
Toshiro Mifune Bruce Lee Brandon Lee Still alive & kicking: Takeshi Kaneshiro Takuya Kimura Tony Leung Tony Jaa Yuko Takeuchi Tatsuya Nakadai |
Leo
Jessica Biel Bill Paxton |
I'm definitely not as easy here as most, I mean I F'n love Bruce Willis but even if I was paid to, I would never watch The Whole Ten Yards.
Off the top of the head these are the people (living) I think I watch anything they do. . . . Sean Connery Russel Crowe Clive Owen Panom Yeerum Liam Neeson Tilda Swinton (made me sit through that piece of shit Narnia movie) Cate Blanchett Christian Bale Eva Green (I could watch her poop on screen for 3 hours) Viggo Mortensen Natalie Portman David Duchovny Ethan Hawke (IMO the single most underrated talent in Hollywood) Val Kilmer Mathew Lillard (just want to see if anyone is actually reading this) |
I don't have a single person. If a movie looks good I will go see it or well I used to. With movie tickets creeping more and more into DVD prices I only go if I think I will really, really enjoy the movie more so than if I watched it at home. Like for example I plan on seeing Hellboy 2 tomorrow.

Ed Norton

The thing about Denzel though is this, and it never fails: I see a trailer for a movie he's going to be in, and I'm like, "Oh, that looks good, I want to see that." Then I never do. The last movie of his I saw in the theatre was John Q., although the trend started with Training Day and The Hurricane (I did eventually see the former). I'm pretty sure I've wanted to see every single movie he's been in since when I see the trailer, but for some reason, I just never do. I thought it would change last year with American Gangster, but it still didn't. Go figure. K |
I don't think there's any actor where I would see absolutely anything they were in. There are a lot of actors I really admire and enjoy watching, but probably all of them have made something that just didn't interest me at all.

In the 70's & 80's it was Al Pacino for me.
Today it's like if he's in the movie must suck. |
