8 people injured. That sounds like a pretty serious accident.

Kidman in crash during LA movie shoot
LOS ANGELES - Nicole Kidman was taken to a hospital after the Jaguar she was driving crashed early Thursday during downtown shooting of the science fiction thriller "The Invasion," police said.
Kidman, 39, was examined at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and then released two hours later, her publicist, Catherine Olim, said.
"I think she's OK," said Olim, adding that it was unclear if the actress went home or returned to the set to resume shooting of the Warner Bros. movie.
The Jaguar was being towed by a camera rig that skidded while taking a corner at about 45 mph, causing Kidman's car to hit a pole on West Sixth Street, Olim said.
The actress and a young boy in the car were wearing seat belts, Olim said. It was believed the young boy was a stunt person, she said.
"The stunt driver apparently went off course and hit a light post at about 1 a.m.," police Officer Karen Smith said.
In all, eight people, including Kidman, stuntmen and cameramen, were taken to hospitals for examination and were released, Smith said.
The Oscar-winning actress, who stars as a Washington psychiatrist who unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, was trying to escape zombielike characters on the hood of the Jaguar when the crash occurred, Olim said.
Paramedics were called to examine Kidman for injuries before she was taken to the hospital, police said.
Warner Bros. spokeswoman Jan Craft's office said a statement would be released later.

"The Oscar-winning actress, who stars as a Washington psychiatrist who unearths the origin of an alien epidemic, was trying to escape zombielike characters on the hood of the Jaguar." I hope everyone's OK, but that's pretty damn funny.

Nicole Kidman Crash -- Caught on Tape!

TMZ has obtained shocking video of Nicole Kidman's terrifying car crash this morning on the Los Angeles set of her new movie "Invasion."
Tires screeched and sparks flew as a stunt truck, towing a car carrying Nicole, skidded out of control on a slick street, slammed into a lightpost and sent broken glass showering onto the wreckage. Several actors and stunt men were injured, including a few who were hanging from the car during the filming. Kidman looks somewhat dazed as she leaves the accident scene.
A non-paramedic fire crew rushed to the scene to treat the injured. Kidman was reportedly taken to her trailer for a short time before finally deciding to get checked at a hospital. All eight of those injured were treated at local hospitals and released.
The stuntment hanging on the car were portraying zombie-like characters attacking the vehicle. "Invasion" is loosely based on the classic horror film, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."

I remember them filming this in Baltimore well over a year ago as well. The movie that never stops shooting! The video doesn't seem like it was too much. I know I've also been in way worse.
