Yeah it's running on cable right now and I have to say that I always loved this film, but after seeing it again(3rd time) I love it even more. I get why people wouldn't like it but different strokes right?

It was OK, I agree with the B- rating given early in the thread.
I came to this thread to find out which side threw the girl out of the plane, the explanation given earlier makes sense to me. I'd kind of like to think it was the KGB who had her thrown out, but it really doesn't matter I guess.
Edit: I thought about it more last night, yeah, it was Edward. The KGB would want her alive for potential blackmail material and Edward had a habit of killing spys - remember that the girl started out as a spy so she was still fair game. Though throwing her out of the plane alive was a little dramatic, I would have expected her to just have been shot or strangled, then thrown out.
The only thing I can't figure out is why the KGB gave him such a vague videotape with work done to hide who it was / where it was taken. Why not give him the tape and say "this is your son"?

This is one of those movies that I really have no desire to watch again, but the more I think about it the more I like it.
Definately worth at least a rental if anybody out there is on the fence about it.
